The Common Thread Among The Conflict - 1534 Words
Kimberly Jimenez April 13, 2015 E405 History Draft US Intervention: The Common Thread amongst the Conflict Fear is an abstract concept but it does not make it any less real. For centuries, countries have been at the brink of war and chaos and nothing that has been attempted has resolved the issue. It is time to revise the previous attempts. United States intervention has been an ongoing issue that continues to harm a multitude of nations; thus, we need to decrease US involvement among other nations by reconstructing foreign policy and military involvement. According to Hobbes, in the state of nature there was an issue with individuals infringing upon autonomy. Ultimately, that lead to this agreement upon the people and what they determined to be Just. They based it off of two principles: It first deals with what the public conceives as justice and it strives to further the publicââ¬â¢s interests (Goldstein 157-158). When society was first founded we made the mutual agreement to not infringe on another person and their autonomy. Throughout history mankind has been innately evil and have had a motive to improve ourselves at the cost of the other person. The problem has been prominent and consistent throughout time and different cultures. The origin of the problem began in the state of nature when the public was allowed to decide who was deserving of justice. Another belief and concept was then conceived in society.
